The greatest need
One of the greatest needs of the church in India and beyond is the theological education. In this region more than 85% of the pastors and church leaders do not have access to any biblical training but they are very eager to learn God’s word like never before. RAN wants to help. We offer biblical training that is church-based, reproducible, and effective. We achieve this goal though the following ministries:
40 day Bible Training
One of the ways we have been serving the national missionaries since 2006 is through the 40 day Bible training program. It is a residential, intensive, and comprehensive training program. Our goal through this ministry is to train God-glorifying, Christ-exalting, gospel-saturated church planters. Importance is also given to building character and personal prayer. Some of the unique feature of the training include – small group of students, experienced national and international teachers, practical ministry opportunities as we are located in the mission field.
Another way we train local pastors is through several pastors’ conferences each year. A lack of solid Bible teachers and healthy biblical church examples, they are led into the false understanding of the Gospel. These 1-3 day conferences gives us opportunity to reach out, train them, and prepare them to be effective and faithful servants of God’s word. We primarily focus on various books of the Bibles with examples of expository preaching, hermeneutics, biblical theology, pastoral ministry, evangelism, and church planting ministry. It is such a privilege to teach God’s word to those who are hungry to learn and practice over the last 12 years.
The Ethne Institute (future project)
The word Ethne in Greek means ‘nations’ which refers to peoples and people groups. Our future vision is to expand the current 40 day training program. In phase-I we would like to expand it into a one year program and in phase-II we would like to expand it into a three year church based training program. One of the main reasons for this expansion is to be able to dedicate a longer period of time for discipling, teaching, and practicing the church planting work together with the students. Each year we will be focusing on training people from particularly from the unreached regions of India and beyond.
